Kids Helping the World Challenge

We challenge you to start a project in YOUR school, with your church group or special organization (PTA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts etc?) to help others !

We challenge you to take a fun and simple thing that you love to do and turn it into an activity to help others. One simple craft that we have raised over $3000 dollars with is making flower pens. Not only did we have a fun time doing it, but the joy that came from the activity was overwhelming! It?s amazing how something so simple and fun helped so many people.

Brainstorm the activity that you choose to do. Go to your parents, friends, school principal, school teacher, PTA , coach or other group that you would like to get involved. Present the idea and further brainstorm the idea with them. If that group or person tells you ?no thank you?, that is not the end of the road for your activity! Move onto someone else for support. The Wright Brothers did not fly their plane the first time they attempted and you may not get your activity to fly the first time either. Persevere just like you did when you learned to ride your bicycle!

Take your creative ideas and inspire other children and adults to make a difference too. Empower yourself to create a better life for someone else in turn making your life better too!

Here are some ideas that you can do to help make the world become a better place:

Make Flower Pens ~ Follow these easy directions and make beautiful flower pens to raise money for your favorite charity.

Make Cards or tissue flowers for your local nursing homes. Try to make this a year round activity. It is wonderful to give the cards at Christmas time but also give them at Valentines day, Easter, St Patrick?s Day, even Halloween!

Project Backpack: Kids Helping Hurricane Victims The National Geographic magazine has a story about this great project that has been started for the victims of hurricane Katrina.

Here are some ideas from Peace Corps Kids World
