Supplies Needed:

• A Ball Point Pen (black looks best)
• 24” of Green Florist Tape
• An Artificial Flower clipped with a 2”-2.5” stem. All leaves left on the stem
• Clear Tape

First, take the lid off of the ball point pen.

Next, with the clear tape, tape the artificial flower onto the bottom of the pen (the side that you do not write with) so that the bottom of the pen is touching the flower.

Using the florist tape we are going to bind the pen. Florist tape sticks to itself when stretched so as you roll the pen you need to pull the tape tight as you wind. Don’t work about breaking the florist tape. If you do, you just put it back on and start where you left off. Make sure you do not leave any gaps or the pen will show through. You can unwind this and try it again until you get it nice and flat. When you reach the end of the pen simply tear the floral tape with your hands and smooth the end of the tape down.

*** This is a very simple and forgiving craft. Everything is easily repairable! The only mistake you can make is to forget to STRECH the florist tape as you are winding it onto the pen.
